Work Can Be Fun

Work Can Be Fun
By Rick Ruiz

Work is fun when it is part of our mission, our quest. Work
however, loses some of its luster when it becomes part of the
routine with little long-term value. Residual income
opportunities have the ability however, to provide lasting
financial security and keep work fun!

It took me many years to understand a teaching of my parents
that "work is fun." It was a teaching that went well beyond my
childhood imaginings in both concept, and reality.

As I pursued a career, I had a mission and accomplishing this
mission became the quest. A game of persistence, tenacity and
ultimate achievement. There were certainly hard times but these
were blended with a mixture of fun times and moments of
exhilaration as the mission was accomplished.

What comes next though?

Is life a constant pursuit of one mission, only to achieve
another mission? This mindset can wear the soul down and limit
your ability to really "smell the flowers" and soak up the
sunrays. So, with our careers achieved... many settle into "the
routine." A time where the adrenalin rush subsides and a
relative constancy in life is achieved.

However, inflation keeps climbing... kids come, dinners are
more expensive, yearning to travel creeps in and the weekly
paycheck remains constant. Then... our belief system tells us
that the company owes us more for doing the same thing. A
feeling of being trapped settles in and the fun disappears.

The problem though is not in the career that we chose, not in
the company that provides our income... but the subdued reality
that we get paid for what we do today, and tomorrow we will get
paid for what we do then. If we want to pause, take a breather,
take an extended vacation, our income stops. We feel trapped,
there is no fun.

A few individuals have however, found a way to perform a task
today... work hard and do it well... and continue to be paid for
this very same task tomorrow, next week, the following month and
the coming year(s). These people are all around you and in this
type of work environment... you can really have some fun. After
all, isn't it nice to be on the beach, or relaxing in your own
backyard knowing that you are still reaping the fruits of your
past labor?

Actors, musicians, insurance agents, landlords and business
owners are just a few of these individuals. Now, the income
these individuals earn in the beginning is usually a modest sum
but as they persevere in their chosen field the earnings climb
AND these earnings compound what is already being earned from
past work. At some point in time, they have Multiple Streams of
Income (MSIs) that will outshine any standard routine job these
individuals have had as their Primary Source of Income (PSI).
This is when they may choose to remain in their current job...
because they have financial freedom (and security), they like
what they do and get satisfaction from their chosen tasks.

Some however, opt to take a year long sabbatical and think of
new ventures, some pursue the next challenge with greater vigor
and others find ways to help others; after all, Abraham Lincoln
once said... "you cannot help the poor by becoming one
yourself."

If you are looking for financial freedom, you should
contemplate supplementing your PSI with one, or more, MSIs. MSI
opportunities are many and most can be generated from the
comfort of your own home on a part-time basis. Do a search on
the Internet for passive income, residual income or home
business opportunities and become a small business owner.

With the right system, the right dedication and a sincere
passion for building financial security... you can become
independently wealthy. This combination of identifying proven
systems and putting a residual wealth building formula in place
means that you are working for yourself today, but you too will
soon start to see your labor bear fruit more, and more, as time
goes by. My parents were right... work is fun!

Fun Kids Games

Fun Kids Games - Any Day's A Great Day For Fun Kids Games!
By Amar Mahallati

Any day's a great day for fun kids games! Rain, shine, or any
season is a perfect time to play games. Has it been awhile
since you thought about fun kids games? Here's a short list to
jog your memory . . .

Do you remember "Duck, Duck, Goose"? It's terrific fun, and
can be played outdoors or in. And believe it or not, it's fun
for any age! Here's how it's played:

Have the children all sit down in a circle (make a smaller
circle for the little tykes).

One person is "It," and he or she walks around the outside of
the circle, touching the other children's heads saying "duck,
duck, duck."

When he comes to the person whom he wants to chase him, he
calls "goose."

The goose chases the "it" person around the circle, and the one
who reaches the empty space first sits down.

The other one is now "It"!

Add a few twists to the "Duck, Duck, Goose" game and you have
another of the most fun children games called Indy 500:

Have the kids sit in the circle (on the floor, or in chairs)
and give each a number and name of a car (example: 1's are
Ferraris, 2's are Fords).

The game leader calls out a car name, and those cars have to
get up and run around the circle.

The first person back to their spot wins . . . BUT, the cars
can have "mechanical difficulties", as their leader chooses.

The leader might choose to holler "run out of gas!" or "flat
tire!" or "no muffler!" or "turbo boost!"

The person has to act/sound out those commands in their attempt
to get back to their seat!

Of course, Hide and Seek is always a favorite, and for a
sitting game, Old Maid is fun for parents, too! Think back
about the games you played, or thumb through some magazines.
You'll get excited to share ideas with your kiddos!

Laughter is wonderful medicine, and fun kids' games are sure to
invoke plenty of good times, whether there are two or twenty
participants!

Family Fun

Family Fun
By Stacey Kennedy

Do the crowds, noise, and hustle and bustle of the city make
you want to escape? If you are like me needed a break from the
craziness of the city, you might want to consider taking the
family camping. With just few camping supplies and a load of
food, you and your family can enjoy an adventure in nature. What
you decide to bring is up to you. There are many different
things to choose from to making camping fun and comfortable. You
may stay more traditional with tents or you may go hi-tech.

As a child, I made lots of great memories while camping with my
family. Starting with the family tent, we eventually moved up to
a foldout camper. The family tents were great fun for a small
child. The huge eight-man tent could be my own hideaway club
when everyone else was outside. Of course, it seemed huge to me
since I was so small. Now, my own daughter enjoys the family
tent when we go on our adventures. Instead of a clubhouse, she
pretends the tent is her castle. Although the tents are the more
traditional form of camping, technology has made them a lot
better than in the old days. They are stronger, more
weatherproof, and much easier to put up and take down.

If you want to load up and head out for some relaxing outdoor
fun, you might want to check out the new family camping tents
and other supplies. With new advancements in construction, you
can find nice equipment that will make you want to extend you
stay in nature. The best place to compare many different family
camping tents is on the Internet. You can research all the
different brands and find great deals when you are ready to buy.

Much of the remaining needed camping equipment is commonly
available in the home, like dishes, pots and pans. Lists of what
to take are available in many camping books and websites. Many
people opt not to use their home items but equipment better
tailored to camping, such as heavy plastic tableware and salt
and pepper shakers with tops that close to keep out rain.
